Dan worked little late today, but I had a meeting, so I woke up first.
It's a dark rainy day again.
The meeting was for a new homepage design.
And it was fun as always.
My role on this planet is "to arrange."
Curation, design, editing, and session, all of them are
to arrange everything in place. To make it whole.
Not to change what's already there.
But just make it right.
After the meeting, I cooked soup.
As our job meeting will be at evening today, I needed to clear this out of the list.
It's been raining for a week so now.
I guess the raining season in NY is not
June like in Asia, but in fall.
The Art Book Fair sent me an email says that
I cannot be in it... I was sad to find out.
When Dan called me,
I told him and I felt fine.
Not getting that will bring me better things!
The job meeting was about the show
we were preparing.
"We are all going to Japan after this!"
Well, it'd be a fun trip, actually.
夫が仕事が少し遅めのスタートの日。
わたしは新しいホームページデザインのミーティングがあったので先に起きた。
また暗い雨の日。
ミーティングはやっぱり楽しいなっ。 わたしの役目は「ととのえる」ことなんだ、と気づく。
デザイン、zine、談話室、本業のキュレーションもそう。
そのひとのもとから持っているものを変えたりせず、ただ、ととのえる。
そういう能力がある。それを使うべきなんだな。
今日は仕事のミーティングがお昼ではなく夕方なので
先にシチューをつくっておくことにする。
雨は本格的〜。
もう一週間くらい太陽をじっくり見てないな。
NYは梅雨ではなく秋雨が多いものなのだけど、
今年は長いな。
参加を申し込んでたブックフェアから連絡がくる。
決まらなくって残念。さすがにちょっと悲しい。
お昼休みの夫と電話。
「フェア決まらなかったよー」と伝えたら
なんだかもういいやって思えた。
これがなかったことでまた別のいいことが入ってくるね、うん。
仕事のミーティングは密かに進めてきたことの大詰め。
まだ実質はこれからだけど。
これが終わったらみんなで日本行こう！と上司。
冗談だけど、確かにおもしろい旅になりそう。凸凹３人組。
３人で日本出張はまだ未経験。
